What is Hidden Tesla?
Hidden Tesla is tricky defense building coming with 30 August 2012 updates. It is the only building in the game that stays hidden until attacking enemy come close (besides traps).

Lay a deadly trap with the Hidden Tesla! Our Wizards have trapped a storm cloud into each of these sneaky towers. When an enemy walks or files close enough, the tower springs up and fries it using the power of Electrickery!

Hidden Tesla Fact (at level 1)
Damage per second = 34
Hit points = 600
Range = 7 tiles (Trigger range = 6 tiles or 50% total base damage)
Damage type = Single Target
Targets = Ground & Air
Favorite Target = P.E.K.K.A (Damage x 2)

Hidden Tesla shoots at very fast rate of 0.6 second per shot, combining with Hidden special ability make Hidden Tesla one of the best defenses to kill off Wall Breaker.

Hidden Tesla - one hit kill – Wall Breaker
Hidden Tesla level 1 deals 20 damage per shot, thus one hit kill Wall Breaker level 1.
Hidden Tesla level 2 deals 24 damage per shot, thus one hit kill Wall Breaker level 2.
Hidden Tesla level 3 deals 29 damage per shot, thus one hit kill Wall Breaker level 3.
Hidden Tesla level 5 deals 38 damage per shot, thus one hit kill Wall Breaker level 4.
Hidden Tesla level 6 deals 45 damage per shot, thus one hit kill Wall Breaker level 5.

Defense Tactics for Hidden Tesla
1) Basic Placement
Just place your Hidden Tesla behind 1st layer of wall either in its own 2x2 spaces or mix with other defense buildings. This is good position to kill incoming Wall Breaker without decoy. Note that it is easy to guess if there are empty 2x2 spaces surrounded with Walls.

You can choose to leave lots of 2x2 spaces empty to confuse attacker where Hidden Tesla really is.

2) Surprise & Giant lure
Placing Hidden Tesla outside your wall or in open space makes your Hidden Tesla defenseless. However, it is almost impossible for attacker to predict where Hidden Tesla is. The surprise factor can help your base to win on defense against careless attacker.

When Hidden Tesla pop up, it will lure enemy Giants to walk and attack it first, thus diverting Giant from intended path. This tactics can be used in conjunction with funneling tactics i.e. predetermine the walking path of enemy Giants then placing Spring Trap in front of Hidden Tesla.

3) Center focus
Place all Hidden Tesla deep in the middle of your base, surrounding and protecting either Town Hall or Storages. 3 or 4 Hidden Tesla firing at the same target such as Dragon, can quickly take down almost any unit in split second.

1) Swarm!
Just swarm Hidden Tesla with Barbarians or Archers.
